In a digital environment, people produce vast volumes of data that organisations must capitalise and monetise. Consequently, managing and protecting data becomes a priority for organisations – safe guarding their clients’ and the organisation’s interests.
The funding will help advance research in various areas including data storage technology, space exploration, edge learning, glaucoma treatment and ultrasound imaging technology for assessing cardiovascular diseases.
Vietnam has immense potential in terms of mobile money deployment as phone subscriber density has reached 100% of the population.
The projected expenditure will be in five key focus areas – new tech tools to respond to COVID-19; citizen and business-centric digital services; ICT systems on cloud; modernisation of government ICT infrastructure and use of data analytics, AI and sensors within the public sector.
