7th Malaysia OpenGov Leadership Forum 2022

Putrajaya Marriott Hotel

A Platform For Collaboration

7th Malaysia OpenGov Leadership Forum 2022 –  endeavours to bring the crème de la crème technology leaders together for a strategic level discussion on the issues that matter the most.

Accelerating the Digital Innovation Strategy Towards a Sustainable Growth

The Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint (MyDIGITAL), recently announced by the Prime Minister, also projects a 22.6 percent contribution to GDP by 2025, with a target of RM70 billion in investments and 500,000 new jobs in the digital economy.

A five-year initiative, which will run from 2021 to 2025 in response to the 12th Malaysia Plan, aims to secure high-quality digital investments while also attempting to unlock new growth drivers in the digital economy. Since 1996, MDEC has received RM345 billion in investments through MSC Malaysia, creating 184,396 jobs and housing 40 of Malaysia’s Forbes100 companies. This strategy has been accelerated to drive the current economic resilience following COVID-19.

It has been improving its Information Technology (IT) infrastructure for the past few years, but digital transformation cannot take place without involving its citizens.

After all, digital transformation includes the process of grooming digital natives and delivering outstanding digital customer service. As such, becoming a digital-native nation will be the next step for Malaysia.

The 7th Malaysia OpenGov Leadership Forum – is the best platform to help governments and enterprises to break down barriers, collaborate, and work together for better outcomes for citizens.

For the past few years, OpenGov has consistently gathered over 200 top decision makers and civil servants to meet their international counterparts to discuss key issues relating to digital transformation.
