MIT study finds humans are responsible for spread of false news, not bots
False news stories spread significantly farther, faster,
deeper, and more broadly than the truth. The removal of the bots had no impact
on the different rates of dissemination, while the inclusion of bots accelerated the spread of both true
and false news roughly equally.
