EXCLUSIVE- 4th Annual Indonesia OpenGov Leadership Forum 2019 Recognition of Excellence – Part 2

The 4th Annual Indonesia OpenGov Leadership Forum 2019 held on July 18th brought together over 300 participants from national and state government ministries, agencies, departments along with FSI, healthcare and education sectors to exchange ideas and experiences.

It was a day filled with stimulating round-table discussions with innovative gamification methods, engaging panels and insightful talks by local and international leaders from FSI and public sector ICT.

In conjunction, OpenGov Asia held the OpenGov Recognition of Excellence (RoE) 2019, a commendation that aims to establish new benchmarks for government ICT innovation in the ASEAN and ANZ regions.

Indonesia has long shifted its focus towards engaging technology and innovation methods and solutions for building economic growth and competitiveness within the region. It applies innovative methods for improving the supply of ICT infrastructure and for e-governance.

This year, OpenGov recognised 13 Indonesian government agencies and financial institutions that are contributing to Indonesia’s innovation landscape.

The award winners for Indonesia OpenGov Recognition of Excellence 2019 are:

Directorate General of Taxes

OpenGov recognised the Directorate General of Taxes for the Virtual Tax Audit.

Willy Arifianto, Head of Administrative Affairs, Directorate General of Taxes, Virtual Tax Audit

This virtual audit tax concept utilises the server, as a location for storing taxpayer data and as a temporary stopover.  Examiners are quick to see and clarify economic data in the form of securities in banking, asset ownership, spread of debt accounts, and even the legality of each license owned.

Ministry of Agriculture

OpenGov recognised The Ministry of Agriculture for the initiative - Agriculture 4.0

Future agriculture will use sophisticated technologies such as robots, temperature and moisture sensors, aerial images, and GPS technology. These advanced devices and precision agriculture and robotic systems will allow farms to be more profitable, efficient, safe, and environmentally friendly. As a government, the Agriculture 4.0 can play a key part in solving the food scarcity issue.

Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources

OpenGov recognised The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources fordeveloping the technology of Home Biogas.

Andriah Feby Misna, Director of Bioenergy, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Home Biogas

It is one of the sources of new renewable energy that is environmentally friendly and sustainable, aimed at local communities through the development of an independent and market-oriented sector.

Ministry of Finance

OpenGov recognised the Ministry of Finance for the Ultra Micro (UMi) Digital Financing Ecosystem Program Trial.

Through UMi financing digitalisation, debtors who have received cash disbursement are given an alternative to utilise the current digital platform, namely electronic money. With this digitalisation, debtors who choose the cashless method can take advantage of the Electronic Money platform and technology owned by Payment System Service Providers (PJSP).

Ministry of Marine Affairs & Fisheries

OpenGov recognised The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries for the initiative - POINTREK.

POINTREK uses satellite-enabled technology to prevent illegal and unsustainable fishing, as well as reduce the risks of the fishing profession at sea.

Statistics Indonesia

OpenGov recognised the Statistics Indonesia for the building of Wilkerstat with Geospatial technology.

The updating of the shape and position of Wilkerstat’s digital maps is prepared to support data collection organised by BPS. The updating of Wilkerstat SP2020 base map will also be used as the master frame of census and survey activity in 2020-2030.
