Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies, Heng Swee Keat, highlighted the enduring partnership between Singapore and a global technology leader that was forged over half a century ago, has not only stood the test of time but also thrived in the dynamic digital age, underlining the crucial role of digital solutions in this enduring relationship.

Also, the air traffic management systems have been instrumental in ensuring the safe and efficient management of flights at Changi Airport. Over 2,500 French companies operate in Singapore, spanning diverse sectors from aerospace to finance. Initiatives like the France-Singapore Digital and Green Partnership underscore the commitment to expanding cooperation into new growth areas.

To secure its position as a global technology and innovation hub, Singapore continues to invest in science, technology, and innovation. The country is recognised for anchoring its competitiveness through research, innovation, and enterprise, as it lacks natural resources.

International collaboration in research and innovation, particularly with France, is robust, with initiatives like the Singapore and France Advanced Research Initiative (SAFARI) driving advancements in technology and research. Hence, public-private partnerships play a significant role in advancing Singapore’s research, innovation, and enterprise (RIE) agenda.

Singapore’s vision for its ecosystem includes partnering with industry leaders to develop deep capabilities and nurture talent. The government actively collaborates with companies to equip the local workforce with relevant skills.
