The premier of Victoria, Australia announced today an important trade mission to South East Asia. It will promote the state’s well known ICT, health and medical technology industries.
49 companies and 81 delegate will be led by the Minister for Training and Skills, Mr Steve Herbert to the important CommunicAsia expo in Singapore first followed by a medical technology event in Malaysia.
The companies will be showcasing Victorian’s ICT capabilities at the most influential ICT forum in South East Asia. This event showcases some of the latest innovations in technology. Victoria has sent a delegation to the conference for the last six years. This has been crucial in establishing partnerships among many key ICT companies throughout Asia. The visit to Malaysia will further strengthen relationship with Malaysian ICT companies. Malaysia has become one of Victoria’s 5th largest two way partnerships.
Victorian ICT industry generates $3.4 billion in annual revenue. That income is generated from over 8,200 companies that employing over 91,000 people
