OpenGov is recognising Ministry of Health for their achievement on the Malaysian Health Data Warehouse (MyHDW) project.
With its detailed collection of data, MyHDW will be able to facilitate the use of data analytics for informed strategic business decisions. The data stored is structured for query and analysis purposes. Among its many capabilities are generating reports, analysing and disseminating information through a dashboard, and featuring disease-based key performance indicators (KPIs). MyHDW is aligned with the National Health Transformation Plan, which focuses on leveraging technology and intelligent solutions to drive innovation and transformation. It was created using local technology that MIMOS, Malaysia’s Applied Research and Development Centre in Information and Communications Technology. Different government agencies, non-governmental organisations and the private sector collaborated in order to build it. The integrated nature of MyHDW allows data to be accessible wherever and whenever needed. To secure the data stored in MyHDW, access to information is highly-regulated. A Data and Information Governance Committee has been established to guarantee data security and data privacy.
