Embracing digital transformation through a proactive and continuous learning approach.

In the era of digitalisation, there is an increasing demand for proficiency in AI & Machine Learning, Business Growth, Data Analysis, Cloud Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity. This dynamic terrain presents an invaluable opportunity for the public sector to embrace these challenges and harness the transformative potential of these domains, ultimately leading to improved efficiency and security.

Indonesia’s workforce is currently at the forefront of a remarkable shift driven by the widespread adoption of digital transformation. As these digital technologies become increasingly integrated into various industries, Indonesian workers are presented with the exciting opportunity to work alongside advanced digital tools and systems.

By the year 2027, approximately 28% of the current job landscape will undergo significant transformations, emphasising the pressing need for upskilling and adapting in response to this evolving digital environment.

It’s predicted that industries related to technology and digitalisation will become crucial for Indonesia’s economy. To make the most of this opportunity, there’s a need to improve the quality of education and the link from education and training to economic development with the link from education and training to economic development.

Although it is scalable and less expensive, online learning will provide experience learning a competitive advantage. Furthermore, it improves industry-relevant curriculum and meets international accreditation criteria.

To make this digital shift work, an additional 9 million people with digital skills will be required by 2030. One way to achieve this is by focusing on “Skills-First Learning.” It helps them address new problems and opportunities brought by technology.

To commence this “Skills-First” initiative, government entities must first pinpoint the specific skills that require enhancement among their workforces. These initiatives reflect Indonesia’s economic drivers, and we are connecting their manpower demands to their economic development, with the purpose of achieving their capacity targets through workforce development.

This adaptation necessitates a strong focus on workforce digital literacy, data-driven governance, collaboration with external partners to foster innovation, and a steadfast commitment to transparency and ethical AI deployment. By placing continuous learning and skill development at the forefront, the public sector can effectively harness digital tools, safeguard data, and maintain public trust as they navigate the ever-evolving digital landscape.

Skills-First Learning for Workforce Development

This approach empowers workers to adapt to evolving technologies, ensuring they can tackle new challenges and opportunities presented by the digital age. Identifying and addressing skills gaps within the public sector is a critical step in fostering a flexible and proficient workforce capable of meeting the public sector goals in a rapidly changing technological landscape.

Digital Upskilling

The digital transformation in Indonesia is rapidly changing the job landscape, with around 28% of jobs expected to undergo significant changes by 2027. This underscores the pressing requirement for workers to acquire digital skills to remain competitive in the evolving job market.

Continuous Learning and AI Adoption

To navigate the digital transformation effectively, the public sector must prioritise continuous learning and skill development. Furthermore, as they embrace AI and other advanced technologies, it’s essential to uphold a commitment to transparency and effective AI deployment.

By focusing on acquiring the necessary skills and knowledge, the public sector can effectively embrace digital transformation. These skills empower them to navigate the complexities of modern IT infrastructures and emerging technologies, ensuring a seamless transition into a digitally transformed operational landscape.
