To enhance the competitive strengths of digital transformation of the southern Technology Industrial Parks (TIPs), the Export Processing Zone Administration (EPZA) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) collaborated with Institute for Information Industry (III) to initiate the “Digital Transformation Officer and Digital Transformation Consultant” course.
The consultant course not only focused on cooperation and communication between participants but also contributed to facilitating the achievements of the digital transformation model of the southern manufacturing industries.

The consultant course invited manufacturers from the southern manufacturing and information services industry to jointly participate in the course, from consensus maintaining courses, supply-demand matchmaking interaction, empirical evaluation committee exchanging, and transformation model enterprises visit and other methods, extending to the POC (Proof of Concept) of the manufacturing field.
In the future, it will gradually extend to conduct POS (Proof of Service), deeply and completely build on the demonstration example of local digital transformation, and expected to bring synergistic effects of extending substantial business opportunities to the south and increase the benefits of talent momentums.
This year’s course was introduced from the strategy road map planning to the empirical field to establish a set of talent cultivation patterns of technology manufacturing industries to enhance product performance and accelerate the learning curve of personnel.
Tech companies use filter element precise research and development and AI smart management information systems, use production conditions to match the database of filter element material physical properties, which could intelligently determine and recommend the best production conditions and formula in a short time according to the special needs of customers.
Tech companies also use the digital tool life management and quality optimisation system and combine it with modules such as vibration sensing and tool wearing AI analysis to verify the feasibility of tool wear and quality optimisation. They use production line process visualisation and AI quality prediction management to strengthen equipment networking and abnormal monitoring and diagnosis and assist engineers in rapidly diagnosing the cause of defect patterns, and rapidly eliminating the defect patterns to improve yield.
In order to meet the increasing demand year by year for digital technology, the EPZA has cooperated with the Regional Industry Service Division (RISD) of III to establish a digital transformation co-creation base and a 5G XR O-RAN experimental field in the Kaohsiung Software Park (KSP), and cooperate with the increasing demands of the development of the service industry and digital transformation-related activities of emerging technology companies in the southern, to provide with no charge cooperation for enterprises and enterprises in the parks to cooperate to apply for base space or research and development and test applications.
Moreover, EPZA also actively expand the Kaohsiung Software Park Phase to allow more companies to invest and station in, leading industries and talents to the south, and expand the southern settlement scale of the digital technology industry, shaping the digital transformation atmosphere of the manufacturing industry.

Through the co-creation of localised value, assisting enterprises to digital transform independently, which will guide the model case from the Technology Industrial Park and expand to the southern industrial area, gradually leading the innovative transformation and development of the local industries, creating a comprehensive effect of win-win for the southern soft and hard industries.
