China Elevating Smart Electrical Industry

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The establishment of the “Digital Yandang 100 People Meeting,” initiated by the Yueqing Municipal People’s Government in collaboration with prominent entities like the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) and the Yueqing Digital Economy Industry Federation has set to reshape the landscape of the smart electrical industry and foster an ecosystem of collaboration, innovation, and sustainability.

The “Digital Yandang 100 People Meeting” represents a pivotal step towards realising China’s ambition to lead the intelligent electrical industry. It capitalises on the development advantages of the national electrical advanced manufacturing cluster and leverages the expertise of industry leaders to propel technological innovation, standard formulation, and digital transformation within the smart electrical sector.

By uniting key players in the field, this initiative aims to propel the high-quality development of China’s smart electrical industry, making it a global leader in innovation and sustainability. One of the remarkable aspects of this initiative is the recruitment of smart electrical industry ecosystem partners from across the country.

These partners span a wide spectrum, including smart electrical and smart home solutions, module chips, microprocessors, smart sensors, system software, data services, industrial Internet, investment and financing institutions, and university think tanks. This inclusive approach ensures that the initiative benefits from a diverse range of expertise, driving holistic development in the sector.

Simultaneously, China is taking a proactive stance in promoting knowledge sharing and skill development in emerging technologies. The recent opening ceremony of the Asia Pacific Telecommunications Organisation (APT) “Artificial Intelligence and 5G Technology” training course in Shanghai exemplifies China’s commitment to global technology leadership.

Hosted by the East China Branch of the CAICT, this training course brings together experts and students from across the Asia-Pacific region. With its rich experience in international training and a formidable teaching staff, CAICT is a driving force behind this initiative.

For six consecutive years, the East China Branch of CAICT has meticulously crafted a unique programme. This programme offers an immersive experience that allows participants to witness China’s rapid growth in the field of information and communications.

This year’s APT training continues the tradition of forward-looking and innovative programming. It aligns with the ever-evolving technology landscape, focusing on the theme of “Artificial Intelligence and 5G Technology.”

The curriculum covers a wide array of topics, including 5.5G and 6G new technology innovations, smart mobility, semiconductor advancements, smart cities, and generative artificial intelligence (AI). Through this comprehensive programme, the East China Branch of CAICT aims to share China’s advanced technological concepts and innovative practices with students from Asia-Pacific countries and regions.

As Taiwan aspires to be a global innovation hub, AI and 5G technology are central to this endeavour. The nation fosters a vibrant ecosystem for technology innovation, encouraging startups and research initiatives in these fields. This innovation-centric approach positions Taiwan as a frontrunner in the global technology landscape.

Taiwan’s pursuit of global technology leadership extends to national security. Given its geopolitical situation, Taiwan recognises the critical role of advanced technologies such as AI and 5G in ensuring national security. These technologies underpin state-of-the-art communication networks, surveillance systems, and cybersecurity measures, safeguarding the nation’s interests.

Also, Taiwan actively engages in international collaboration in AI and 5G research. The nation seeks partnerships with leading global companies and research institutions, facilitating knowledge exchange and technological advancements. These collaborations not only enrich Taiwan’s expertise but also contribute to global technological progress.

In the context of sustainability, AI and 5G play a pivotal role in achieving environmental and resource conservation goals. AI-driven analytics optimise energy consumption, while 5G empowers the Internet of Things (IoT) for efficient resource management. These technologies align with Taiwan’s commitment to sustainability by reducing waste, emissions, and energy consumption.
