HK Tech Lab Releases New Solutions

Two tech companies operating within Hong Kong’s Smart Government Innovation Lab announced the roll-out of solutions that are now ready to be acquired by companies and institutions.

Solution I – Secure file sharing and collaboration platform

Solution description

The solution provides an advanced permission report that shows users access rights to all files and folders to help meet compliance requirements (i.e., GDPR); full admin and user activity logs are available for audit trail; Face ID and fingerprint authentication for mobile device login. The platform supports two-factor authentication (2FA) as an additional security layer to protect user accounts. Granular permission settings provide complete access control and all data, both in transit and at rest, is protected with 256-bit encryption; has a SmartShare Wolf Actionable Dashboard for data-driven decision-making.

The platform includes a tracking dashboard that provides data that shows, for example, who in the organisation has looked at the shared documents, numbers of views, clicks and downloads after sending out an email with links. Solution II – the Virtual Tour Production Service

Solution description

The firm’s VR 3D Scanning shoots use the latest 3D infrared technology to efficiently and accurately scan indoor spaces, and then create an indoor 360º stereoscopic model. With a streamlined UI, the user can freely shuttle in the three-dimensional space, achieving the effect of being on the spot and visiting the reality of each part of the room, thereby enhancing the customer experience to a new level. The finished product comes with a plan view and a three-dimensional model viewing mode, and you can browse through a computer, tablet or smartphone to help share the model as per the user’s choice.
