Indonesia Develops Innovation Centre Website

The Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) developed National Public Service Innovation Network (JIPPNas) website in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs and State Administration Agency (LAN). The website will combine existing innovation data in all ministries and agencies to integrate public service innovation management.

JIPPNas are an essential aspect of fostering public service innovation. In addition to development, public service innovation must be broadened, and government agencies can employ innovation as a programme to address current difficulties.

“JIPPNas will operate as a data bank and will facilitate access to information relevant to public service innovations for government agencies or people who require it,” Assistant Deputy for Coordination and Facilitation of the Ministry of PANRB’s Strategy for Development of Public Service Best Practices According to Ajib Rakhmawanto announced at the National Public Service Innovation Network (JIPPNas) Website Development FGD in Jakarta.

He stated that the combined administration of JIPPNas was also based on feedback from the Ministry of National Development Planning (PPN)/Bappenas, which determined that numerous ministries and institutions had aided in public service innovation. As a result, JIPPNas can be optimised as a knowledge management system using innovation data.

This conversation aimed to agree on integrating public service innovation data controlled by the Ministry of PANRB and the Ministry of Home Affairs, and LAN.

Ajib stated that today’s conversation would result in a form and support for innovation data from each stakeholder to be managed collectively on the JIPPNas website. The JIPPNas website development elements that will be maintained collaboratively include innovation displays, profiles, directories, models, spatial maps, statistics, and an innovation replication back office.

The Ministry of PANRB will integrate its Sinovik system for the Public Service Innovation Competition (KIPP) with The Ministry of Home Affairs data on innovation from the Innovation Government Award and Tuxedovation. At the same time, LAN provides data on innovation via Inoland.

The Ministry of PANRB will facilitate the growth of innovation in government agencies, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and LAN’s joint management of JIPPNas. The collaboration agreement between the three agencies on the direction of the JIPPNas site will be implemented in March 2023.

With stakeholder engagement, the JIPPNas Portal will become a national public service innovation database. “The presence of JIPPNas will expedite development, particularly the development of public service innovations, and nurture new public service models that can speed the improvement of public service quality,” Ajib concluded.

The advancing technology and digitalisation make it easier for people to obtain information, mainly through mobile devices. On separate occasions, Vice President KH Ma’ruf Amin advised digitising fatwa material.

Fatwa is a scholar’s viewpoint or interpretation of an issue concerning Islamic law. With so many Muslims in Indonesia, the government is encouraging the fatwa digitising system, which provides access to knowledge about Islamic rule worldwide.

“In terms of the digitisation system, fatwas, I believe it is requisite so that those fatwas can be made available for anyone,” said Vice President Ma’ruf Amin after attending the Open Senate Session of the Inauguration of Professors and Orations Scientific Prof. Dr H. Asrorun Ni’am Sholeh, MA at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta.

According to the Vice President, the fatwa process can be digitalised by first doing research, which can then be compared to current fatwas in other nations, such as the Middle East and Egypt. In conclusion, the Vice President emphasised the benefits of digitising fatwas and making them freely accessible to the public, particularly the younger generation, who are more technologically savvy. He also wholly supports its future development endeavours.
